Legacy of
Leesburg is a nature and conservation master planned community for
active adults with many interesting and unique features. We have and
will continue to take special care to develop this community with
nature conservation and resident needs in mind. Some of the unique and
interesting features of Legacy are:
-
There are some very rare species of animals found here at Legacy
including the Florida scrub jay known as a cooperative breeder where the
older nestlings remain at home to assist the parents in bringing up
successive broods. At Legacy we have taken special care to preserve the
scrub jay habitat in its pristine natural condition. (see area on map)
-
About 40% of the development will remain undeveloped in its natural
state of beauty and there will more green belt and conservation
home sites with beautiful views than other similar size communities.
-
There are miles of nature trails planned to run throughout the
development and the Palatlakaha River and park area is connected to the
nature trail.
At Legacy, nature and conservation is the focus of the community.
